When thinking of one of the most typically “Peruvian” local-cuisines possible, look no further than El Batan del Inca. What better way to truly embrace the culture than through at least attempting to try the famous “cuy” or guinea pig? Thinking cuy would be easily accessible, I set out to search for restaurants throughout the Cuscan streets; Searching high and low I finally came across El Batan del Inca with great service, wonderful food, and a divine “local
feel.” Aside from the delicious cuy, various typical dishes are offered, alongside authentically “fresh” fruit drinks. Recommended for anyone looking to partake in a typical meal—sans thetypical price.
