We are originaly from Greece and we are used to the Greek cuisine but after tasting this food we are very happy.

On the second day of staying in Cuzco, we found this truely amazing restaurant –El Batan del Inca. Perfectly located just of the main square and next to beautiful art galaries. IF you are looking for an authentic, tasty and locally sourced food this is the place! The service is outstanding, great value for money.  If you are not that familiar with the local food, you can totally relay on their recomendation , they know their staff. 5*****

Es el mejor café que me he tomado  en cusco en un lugar limpio, en una calle típica de cusco, el acceso a internet  y lo mejor de todo es que no necesito llamar a la amiga de la barra por que ella esta atenta a lo que pueda pedir a través de su sistema virtual.

 

 

 

 

 

Accueil tres chaleureux avec plats peruviens typiques de tres bonne qualite en particulier

le risotto de quinoa et la puree de yucca. Nous avons goutte le cuy qui nous a paru surprenant.Adresse a recommander.

Quel plaisir de decouvrir ce restaurant…

On n y vient pas par hasard mais on y revient par plaisir, le plaisir d e gouter aux specialites peruviennes et cuzqueniennes de cet etablissement . L accueil y est charmant  et  competent meme si vous ne parlez pas bien l espagnol.

Merci et bravo a Yudi et Maria Antonietta pour leur sourire et leur disponibilite…et a la cuisiniere pour sa bonne cuisine .

Very tasteful – me ha gustado mucho

 

 

 

 

 

I came here to eat cuy (guinea pig) which I had missed the days before and I was very happy with my choice. It looks a bit strange but it tastes very good.

My dessert, the fila, was also very good. I had expected it to be a bit sweeter but the way it was actually was just great.

All in all, a very good restaurant here.

A welcoming resturand with a very warm athomsphere, the staff are helpfull and have a good understanding of english. The food was tasty and most of all the price is resonable. A large wine selection. A worth while visit that comes highly recommended from me.

 

 

 

 

This is a new restaurant that is meat lovers and vegetarian friendly. I highly recommend the vegetarian lasagna. Also, my dinner companion was very pleased with the Cuzquenian steak with beans with rice.  I have tried many restaraunts in Cusco, but this one is by far the best. The staff is bilingual and readily available to assist you with your dining needs. I highly recommend this restaurant.

ALPAKA IS PERFECT!!!

The chocolate cake was delicious! Fresh juice was really good too. Just ran out of alpaca hamburgers but the healthy portion of steaming hot  lasagna was very filling.

Enjoyable atmosphere with friendly attentive service Our server was Dani and her English was exceptional which made our visit extremely easy.  The food was fresh and delicious and they were always attentive to our needs.  If you are looking for casual comfortable dining with good authentic food you simply can not miss this place.

The foods are delicious, the service is very kind and fast. We also liked the atmosphere of the place (e.g. the structure of the roof). It is placed in a nice quiet part of the town.

Este café es el que tomo cuando quiero disfrutar de este lugar no hay otro lugar donde yo pueda tomar un café y disfrutar de este lindo lugar, para llegar hay que entrar por una calle que lo hace a uno retroceder en el tiempo, al llegar a una calle de pura piedra, que lo hacen sentir en medio del imperio incaico y luego al subir al CYber Café todo cambia por que se vuelve un mundo virtual, espero lo viisten se llama BATAN del INKA nos vemos el 30 de este mes.

Une petite carte plutòt apetissante recuperee a un coin de rue nous conduisait ce soir6la vers cette adresse et il faut bien reconnaitre que parmi toutes les (bonnes) references duquqrtier, celle6ci restera la plus marquante, notamment grace a un service irreprochable et une qualite culinaire incontestable.

Alors vivement denain soir …

Vi consigliamo caldamente il risotto di quinoa con pollo grigliato e verdure. Non la solita solita zuppa! un piatto genuino e davvero gustoso; per non parlare della cortesia della gestone e la collocazione veramente stupenda, appena fuori dal circolo commerciale. Buen restaurante, buena comida, y excelente personal que atiende de una manera muy agradable y simpática, especialmente Judith. Lo encontramos por casualidad y hemos repetido por segundo día consecutivo.

Totalmente recomendable por todo, por la comida y especialmente por la atención y el precio.

Sólo un pero, el capuccino realmente es leche manchada.

Restaurante muy recomendado en la ciudad de Cuzco. Realmente no es un restaurante muy conocido en la ciudad, pero altamente recomendado. El restaurante nos lo recomendó el Hostal Amaru, situado en el barrio bohemio de San Blas. Cena perfecta en un lugar entrañable de la ciudad de Cuzco. Productos frescos y cocinados al instante.

Excellent food, excellent service!

El Batan del Inka was recommended to us for its casual atmosphere and great local food.  It definitely over-delivered!  The service was super, and the food was delicious.  We highly recommend the Pechuga de pollo relleno de queso andino y albaca, the quinoa risotto, and the aji de gallina!  Plus, they have really fast internet.  This is a gem – one of our favorite restaurants in Cusco.

Buena comida tradicional peruana, lugar acogedor y tranquilo, y lo mejor el personal, son encantadores. Una amiga me dijo de este restaurante. Ella hizo una recomendación excelente. Tomé un almuerzo delicioso  y bastante barato. El jugo de frutilla, naranja, pimienta y ginger es muy bien  y me gusto mucho el risoteo de quínoa. Los empleos estaban muy amistosos.

Some guy approached us on the street, and since we were open for everything we entered – a real good coincidence. Broad menu, not that cheap, but good value for the price. Very good chicken and nice ambience. Pleasent waiters, they speak decent english as well. good local cuisine, recommended!

Tucked away through a little courtyard, the restaurant is small but atmospheric.

The food was of a suprisingly good standard, and is probably worth the price – although the side orders are quite small. We´d rec ommend the Cusquechan steak with its sauce. Delicious.

We got pulled in off the street and were surprised to find a small establishment with lovely decorations.  We weren’t expecting very much, since the place was empty, but the food turned out to be excellent.  The alpaca was fresh and cooked to perfection, all served with beautiful presentation.  The staff was all friendly and spoke good English.  There’s also an excellent view onto the street below.

Ha hot uns gesoart mei kreche en Rabatt und moedde nur 40 zohle. Mei woarn noch net so schloessich aewer ols ha uns gesoart hot, dos es pisco sour fuer noescht gitt, sann de weiwer durchgedroht. Mei senn hin un es woar werklich racht ordentlich. Da Kerl wo racht nett und de Pisco woar good. De Meersau woar ruck zuck do, dos hot uns schon gewonnert. Als mei ogefange hon zu asse hon mei gemerkt, dos de sau zu drocke woar. Ich daank dos de Meersau werklich good schmeckt, awer bei uns waors halt zu hoart gebacke.

Dos annere asse woar werklich good un mei konne uns net beschwear. Fraacht om beste bann ei cuz asse wollt, ob de es aich froesch mache koenne.

Excelente menú a precio inmejorable

Restaurante acogedor con excelente atención y mejor servicio. Se pueden degustar los productos locales típicos del país muy elaborados y con un toque de novedad en la gastronomía peruana.  Ha sido un golpe de suerte pasar por aquí durante nuestra estancia en Cusco! En esta ciudad, a veces demasiado turística, es difícil encontrar un restaurante con un toque personal tan marcado. El Batán del Inka es, sin duda, uno de esos lugares que recordaremos durante mucho tiempo.

When thinking of one of the most typically “Peruvian” local-cuisines possible, look no further than El Batan del Inca. What better way to truly embrace the culture than through at least attempting to try the famous “cuy” or guinea pig? Thinking cuy would be easily accessible, I set out to search for restaurants throughout the Cuscan streets; Searching high and low I finally came across  El Batan del Inca  with great service, wonderful food, and a divine “local  

feel.” Aside from the delicious cuy, various typical dishes are offered, alongside authentically “fresh” fruit drinks. Recommended for anyone looking to partake in a typical meal—sans thetypical price.

El Cuy Sabroso

One of our goals when we came to Cusco was to try the guinea pig, which is a delicacy in Peru. On our last night we chose El Batan del Inka based on their menu outside. We ordered the guinea pig with a side of Tarw i and it was very tasty. If you´re willing to try something new it was definitely a great meal and a fun adventure.

El Batan del Inka was a unexpected surprise on our visit to Cusco. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The Maracuya Sour drink was tart and refeshing. The variety of dishes we shared were all very tasty. The Soltero de Habas was fresh and lightly seasoned. The Saltado de Alpaca had a nice grilled flavor and the Cuy con Tarwi was a unique new treat. All the side dishes nicely complemented the main course. I would recommend this cozy resturant to anyone looking to experience authentic Cusquenian cuisine. J.Platt
